This condition is generally associated to predisposing factors, such as dystocia of a fetal origin or accidents. The aim of the present study was to describe clinical information on a cow with sacroiliac luxation treated at the Clinic of Bovine at the Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco, Campus Garanhuns, Brazil. The information was obtained on a female Girolanda a cross breed between Gyr(Zebu) x Holstein (Taurine) cattle, six months pregnant and raised in an extensive system. The owner reported that ± 30 days earlier the animal suffered an accident and had since had difficulty walking. Upon examination, the main clinical alterations were limited to the musculoskeletal system, such as difficulty moving the back limbs and crepitation in the lumbar region when walking. The sacrum and spinal column prior to the ileum were on a plane well below the iliac tuberosities, which were pronounced. Based on the clinical signs, the diagnosis was complete bilateral luxation of the sacroiliac joint.
