Objectives of this study was to evaluate the effect of different disinfectant solutions on the third stage larvae of Ancylostoma spp. purpose environmental control. They were obtained from various coproculture from two dogs naturally infected with Ancylostoma spp. Seven days after the third stage larvae were recovered, quantified and stored in tubes Falcon comprising six groups with six replicates each. Larvae were treated with sodium hypochlorite 100% benzalkonium chloride 15 and 30%, 7.99% formaldehyde, 70% ethanol and distilled water (control group) and assessed for motility in times of 1, 6 and 24 hours after the start of the challenge. In 1 hour, ethanol 70% and sodium hypochlorite 100% disinfectants are highly effective in the elimination of third stage larvae of Ancylostoma spp. and there significant difference, while formaldehyde 7.99% obtained the same effect in time of 24 hours. For evaluation of different concentrations of sodium hypochlorite was held forming groups 5 and 6 replicates, and treated with distilled water (control) and sanitary water in concentrations of 100%, 50%, 25% and 12.5% . Were evaluated for motility at times of 10 and 30 minutes and 1 hour. There was a significant difference in bleach to 50%. The treatment with bleach at a concentration of 12.5% did not show a percentage of mortality of larvae satisfactory in any of the evaluated times.
