It was used nine rams, pubescent. The animals were weighed, clinical examination, and samples of blood and feces were collected for hematological and feces tests. After this the animals were submitted to an andrologic evaluation and libido test. The animals were submitted to cryosurgery sterilization and observed for a period of 32 days performed before surgery. All of the animals look good, health, with no pain or discomfort, maintenance the intake of water and food, with no significant changes in body weight. No signs of post-operative complications were seen in surgical site. It was observed decrease on scrotal circumference of six animals. The exams showed no changes in the scrotal and testicular parenchyma, however demonstrating changes in the shape and increased epididymis tail dimensions, irregular form and firm texture. Semen analysis performed at 32 days revealed azoospermia in six of the nine rams. There were no changes in the libido test. It concludes that the proposed technique is safe, fast, and easy to perform, with low cost, minimally invasive and free of the occurrence of postoperative complications.
